It’s been a good few weeks since my last weight loss update, so I thought it was time to share my progress. As some of you know, I started my journey in January 2020 using Exante meal replacements. I used mostly the milkshakes, which I really enjoyed and also tried some of the bars too. I was really hoping to be able to lose weight without having to exercise, but I found the weight was slow to come off.
Quarantine Chaos
However, when lock down happened in March, and I was at home with the kids all day, I decided that exercise might just be the escape I needed! I first started by downloading the Couch To 5K app and doing the Joe Wicks Hiit sessions on You Tube. At one point I even dug out my bike from the back of the garage, and incorporated bike rides in to our day. I started to look forward to the exercise time (me time) that I got away from the family, and I feel that it started to make a difference.
Now the lock down rules have been relaxed, I have still continued with the exercise. I’ve even signed up with a local personal trainer to give me some pointers and hopefully keep me on track. I’ve also found some fantastic videos on You Tube by a trainer called Lucy Wyndham-Read which I’m now doing daily. Long walks on an evening with friends has also helped me burn calories, reach my 10,000 steps a day, and stay sane! I think it’s easy to get disheartened when the scales don’t always move, but I’ve realised that if I do some kind of exercise every day it all adds up to results.

So, there are my most recent results. I’m pleased to say that although I have found the weight loss to be slower than I would have liked, it is finally coming off. I have now reduced the number of meal replacements I’m using and have started to add proper food back in to my diet. I will add another update hopefully soon, and let you know how I’m getting on.
