Well, we’ve reached week five of the summer holidays, and the summer sewing orders have been fantastic! I had a week off when we went to North Wales, but since returning the orders have been coming in nicely! There’s been some fabulous fabrics chosen, but I thought I’d show you two of my recent favourite makes. One was for my own little boy Jacob, and the other was a customer order.
The short dungarees have been really popular since the weather turned warmer, and I can definitely see why! They can be made in either 100% cotton or in cotton jersey, and both options provide a cool and comfortable outfit for your little one.
I love the way the straps can be crossed over at the back. It gives the dungarees a really nice traditional look to them. It also gives the customer two different options of having an adjustable strap for growing room, either an extra set of snaps on the front strap, or having an extra set on the back.
The legs also have a couple of options to them, as they can be hemmed (like the yellow ones), or a cuff can be added, (like the green ones). I like the option of adding a cuff, as it gives the option of adding that extra bit of length for growing room. No one wants to choose a beautiful fabric, only to find their child has outgrown the outfit within 5 minutes!
The fit of the dungarees is also really great. They have the elastic at the back which aids movement and they are loose fitting which is perfect for little ones with a nappy or without. They also look really cute with either a t-shirt underneath or without, so there’s many options to this one item!
How To Order!
The dungarees are available in a range of sizes from newborn to age 5 years. They’re also available with long legs for cooler weather. The fabric is always the customer’s choice, so if you wanted a particular theme or colour just let me know. My prices start from just £18 for the short leg option and £22 for long legs. There’s a range of matching accessories you can order too, such as; dribble bibs, headbands, hair clips and sun hats!
To order, you simply need to message me through my Facebook Page Pickles & JJ. On this website, in the “About Me” section is my logo, which is a direct link to my page if you click on it. I look forward to receiving any orders and I’m always happy to search for that perfect fabric and answer queries about sizing and measurements. Thanks for reading!
