I’ve not written about my diet story for a few weeks, so I thought I’d give you all an update. I’m now into week 6, and my losses have been really minimal. I’m following the Exante diet, which is mainly a meal replacement system. There’s a few different paths to follow but I mostly stick to drinking the milkshakes and try to keep to under 1000 calories a day. I have had a couple of cheat days lately, but overall I am sticking to the diet plan. My favourite shake flavour this week is Honeycomb. Tasting like a Crunchie chocolate bar it’s a great flavour for a sweet tooth. In general I’ve found all the flavours so far really tasty, but they are very sweet. If you’ve not got a sweet tooth, you’d be better trying some of the other products such, as the soups.
In recent years I have tried several diets and found that they are all really similar in terms of weight loss speed. I always start off well but then I plateau and I struggle to stay motivated. However, I’ve found this diet method to be the simplest to follow as I hate planning meals and counting calories every time I put something in my mouth. I have 3 shakes a day, made with really cold water and ice and a small meal of around 200 calories, so very little planning is needed. Although I’m not losing as much I had hoped, I have to remind myself that a loss is a loss!
So now for my results:
In 3 weeks since as last updated I have lost 2lb 2.4oz
My other details are below:
Start weight 11st 10lbs
Current Weight 11st 1.4lbs
Total loss to date 8lb 12oz
Start BMI 27.3
Current BMI 25.9
So, like I say, not a huge loss but I’ve nearly crossed that next step stone barrier. I’m definitely going to continue with the plan for now and try and maybe add some exercise, I’ll keep you posted!
